Who is Thuli Phongolo?
Thulisile “Thuli” Phongolo Born on the 22nd of January 1994 in Soweto is a South African actress, tv personality, presenter and DJ. She is born in a family of three children. She has an older sister and a younger brother. Thuli attended High School at Allen Glen High School at Allen’s Nek in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Thuli went on to enroll for a coarse in Strategic Marketing communications at University Of Johannesburg.
Her Career
Thuli started off in 2012 at a tender age of 18 years from a television drama series, Tshisa as Zama. The role opened further opportunities for Thuli as she later became the presenter on ETV, Craz-e. Miss Pongolo’s biggest break came in 2014 when she landed a role in one of South Africa’s mega soap opera, Generation: The Legacy. This came after Mfundi Vundla, the producer of the show fired 16 of his previous actors as they reached stalemate in negotiating fair compensation in remuneration. Thuli Phongolo landed a leading role as namhla Diale in a new face Generation Soap. Thuli went on to appear in numerous award shows and tv shows to further strengthen her brand. Miss Pongolo has since taken a new venture in pursuing a career as music DJ. It’s safe to say Thuli’s star is on the rise.
