Who is Sha Sha ?

Sha Sha is singer and Song writer. Her real name is Charmaine Mapimbiro from Zimbabwe. She has become a big musical sensation in the south African music scene in just short time.

Where Her Music Career Started

Sha Sha started her musical career in Zimbabwe , She worked with a group called Blind Faith. And started performing at popular music festivals around Harare.

Charmaine says Music was however not her first career choice , as her dream was set on being a nurse. But growing up she was encouraged by friends that she was actually a great singer.

She later partnered with a south African agency Anashe Media Group and started working a lot with South African Music Producers.

Meeting DJ Maphorisa

Her took a turn for the better when a cab driver linked her up with notorious Hit maker DJ Maphorisa.

After that her life was never the same , She got featured in hits such as ‘Ngi Thanda wena’ by Mlindo The Vocalist , Samthing Soweto ‘s ‘Akulaleki’ , MFR Souls ‘s Love you tonight and a whole lot more.

She began getting recognition in South Africa and started getting gigs around the country. Sha Sha slowly become an in-demand vocalist in Amapiano and some were dubbing her the queen of amapiano.

Her Debut Project ‘ Blossom’

Towards the end of 2019 , she delivered her debut offering, “Blossom”, It contained songs such as tender love , which became one of South African ‘s favourite song and dominated dance floors across the country. The album was produced by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small

Sha Sha Doesn’t identify herself as an amapiano artist and her project Blossom is proof of her versatility . The album has different sounds , songs like abondaba is something not even close to amapiano.
