Who is Mlindo The Vocalist?

Born Lindokuhle Magedezi hails from Port Shepstone in KwaZulu Natal, he is an Afropop singer and song writer signed to Dj Maphorisas label Blaqboy Music.

Growing up

Like most vocalist Lindokuhle discovered his vocal capabilities in the church choir when he was only 4 years old. He later then went to join a Hip Hop group named Riders in 2010 where hes focus was vocals but later he then established an acappella group called White Bread which went to win accolades including “Search for the Stars”

His rise to fame

It was only in 2017 when he got his big break after winning a talent competition “Golden Search” in Richards Bay which gave him an opportunity to work with producer Dj Tira. In the same year Mlindo was already a social media sensation as he would uplod videos of himself singing covers of popular songs. On February 6 2018 Lindokuhle was featured by house producer Sun-El Musician on his single “Bamthathile” which became a smash hit in SA. He then released his debut single in that same year titled AmaBlesser which was also a huge success.

Achievements

– His debut album was certified platinum by RISA and managed to get almost 45 million streams countrywide.
– The second single “Macala” managed to reach number 1 in South Africa following the success of his lead single.
– His debut album “Emakhaya” earned him 3 nominations at the 25th edition of the South African Music Awards.
