Who is Dr Tumi ?
Dr Tumi is a South African Gospel artist , Music producer and songwriter , Born and raised in Seshego in Limpopo.
Where it all Started.
His interest for music started at a very young age , when he was as young as 9 years old, He was already learning how to play a piano. He was influenced a lot by his father who was a priest.
In 2003 he was part of the Coca-Cola Popstars contestants and made it all the way to the Top 20 contestants from almost 16 000 participants. He unfortunately did not win the competition but he was called back to receive training as he was one of the most outstanding talents.
2012 , Dr Tumi released his debut album titled ‘ Heart of a King’ , which scored him the Best RnB Gospel Award at the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards. He was nominated in four categories.
Dr Tumi is also a qualified Doctor and runs a surgery in Mabopane in Pretoria.
“Music and medicine are rooted on improving people’s lives. However ministering through song has the potential to go even beyond the natural and reach deep inside,” says Dr Tumi.
