Who is Bontle Smith ?

Bontle Smith is a South African Amapiano Vocalist. She was in Tembisa but grew up in Lebowakgomo in Limpopo

Her Early Music Life

She started singing in church at the age of 12, and that’s where she discovered her love for music.
Bontle furthered her education at the University of Johannesburg where she joined a contemporary singing group called Currents of Blackness. She also studied at Unisa where she completed her Bcompt Degree in Accounting Science.

In 2010 she recorded her first studio song with Dj Giggs Superstar titled “lose yourself in the music” , which was part of the compilation disc titled ​Deep House Chronicles 4

Her Big Break

In 2018 she worked with Cassper Nyovest on the hit single ​Gets Getsa 2.0. Then In 2019 she joined DJ Maphorisa ‘s record label ‘BLAQBOY MUSIC’. She was then featured on on Dj Maphorisa and Kabza de Small EP’s “​ Scorpion Kings , Piano Hub, The Return of Scorpion Kings. Bontle was on songs like Lerato , Alalahi , Da Lawds Prayer and the most loved one ‘Sandton’

Bontle Smith ‘s aim is to inspire and encourage not only woman but everyone who wishes to infiltrate the music industry to broaden their wings and not be limited to one genre of music but do anything and everything they feel musically.
