Who Is Black Motion ?
Black Motion is a South African Multi-Award-winning Dou. The group consists of two Soshanguve born Music Producers, Thabo Mabogwane and Bongani Mohosana . Black Motion is identified by its distinctive and unique African sound.
Thabo and Bongani were dancers before they started making music . This is what makes them one of the best Live performers in the world.
How They Started
In 2009 , They started producing music that was mostly featured on DJ compilations. In was only around 2010 that their hit single ‘Banane Mavoko’ became one of the biggest songs that year . That led to Oskido signing the dou under his label , Kalawa Jazzme.
They went on to release their debut album ‘Talking to the Drums ’ in 2011. The album had that percussion and African infused sound. Talking to the drums had songs such as ‘Father To be’, ‘Set me Free’ , ‘Banani Shilolo’ and many others.
Their Success
Black Motion went on to release many other albums such as Fortune teller , Ya Badimo and Recently Moya Wa Taola. They are in studio working on their 5th Studio album in celebration of their 10 Years in the Music Industry. The upcoming album will be titled ’10 Years Of Black Motion’
