Who is Eugene Khoza ?

Eugene Khoza is a South African comedian and T.V presenter who is born and bred in pretoria. He is best known for co-hosting The SABC 1 sports show ‘The Countdown’ with Fezile Makhanya and Lebo Motsoeli.

Where it all started ?

It all started when he made it into the semi-finals of MNET ‘s laugh out loud comedy competition. And also won the Ricoffy comedy challenge in the very same year.

After achieving those successes , it resulted in him being added on the line-up for Arts Alive in 2007. Also performed at the country’s two biggest comedy shows: Blacks Only and the Heavyweight Comedy Jam.

He later got the opportunity to co-host a show on YFM. And in 2008 he got his biggest opportunity to co-host the sports show , The Countdown on SABC 1 with Fezile Makhanya and Lebo Motsoeli . Th show was aimed at keeping South Africans informed and involved in the preparation of the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

Then the following year In 2010 he joined Trevor ‘s Show ‘Tonight with Trevor Noah’ as a writer and cast member.Eugene has grown in the comedy world and now performs all over the country in comedy festivals. His growing ethnic fan base has been accredited to his multilingual delivery and his understanding of cultures and being able to engage them all on a humorous level.

It is this ability of understanding different cultures that took him from performing open spots to hosting the popular Horror Café Comedy Night for a year.
